Radiant Silence

Radiant Silence

The hair, all tangled, wild and free,
the face that time has touched for me.
The eyes—once bright—now softly fade,
their gentle glow begins to shade.

I long to speak as when a child,
with dreams unbroken, pure and wild;
but senses fade, my voice is gone,
the song of youth no longer strong.

🎵 (Chorus)
My mind stays bright, my soul aware,
my ears still listen everywhere.
Yet though I hear the world’s sweet plea,
my heart no longer speaks to me.

My mind, in turmoil, spins around,
in worldly thoughts, I now am bound.
I think of life, of things so real,
forgetting what my heart could feel.

Sorrow surrounds me, close it stays,
shadowing all my fleeting days.
A magic mirror shows my grace,
the smiling mask upon my face.

🎵 (Chorus)
My mind stays bright, my soul aware,
my ears still listen everywhere.
Yet though I hear the world’s sweet plea,
my heart no longer speaks to me.

A vibrant soul the world may see,
but storms still dwell inside of me.
I laugh, I play, I joke once more,
to hide the ache I can’t ignore—
again, again, for all my dear,
the ones I love who keep me near.

🎵 (Chorus)
My mind stays bright, my soul aware,
my ears still listen everywhere.
Yet though I hear the world’s sweet plea,
my heart no longer speaks to me.

I make the wishes still come true,
like fairies softly tend to do;
with single thought and silent prayer,
I turn the darkness into air.

Its whispers lost, its voice no more,
a radiant silence at my core.

🎵 (Final Chorus – softly repeated)
My mind stays bright, my soul aware,
my ears still listen everywhere.
Yet though I hear the world’s sweet plea,
my heart no longer speaks to me.
